OUR
PROCESS
Understand
To solve any problem with a solution, it is of course necessary to fully understand the problem, we believe that understanding the problem or goal is the first phase of our work. Understanding how things are done today, understanding the business implication, understanding the dependencies and understanding the measurable requirements of any proposed solution are some of the extra steps we will go through to be comfortable we can move to any recommendations.
Typically we are able to work with our clients to capture these goals and requirements through meetings. In some cases, it can be necessary to provide an infrastructure audit for more detailed analysis of the environment's current state and capabilities. Where this is necessary, one of the Turning Point Solutions Consultants may need to run a range of software tools in the environment for this analysis.
Design
Our approach to designing solutions for our clients follows a repeated process with all of our solutions;
1. Do we understand what is needed?
2. Is it possible to do what's needed with the Technology that's in place today?
3. What are the risks for change?
4. What is the simplest and most cost effective way to deliver the desired result?
In answering these questions as our starting point, we identify our path to resolution, where new policy, process or technology is required, our proposed design will be documented to show our understanding of the requirements, what we reviewed, how we came to our decision and how the recommendations will meet the measurable objectives.
Provision
When our recommendation is to provide technology solutions, we are committed to providing pricing that is sensitive to and in line with budget expectations. We will provide continual updates on the delivery status. Where the equipment is to be delivered to our Datacentre for staging and testing, we will provide confirmation that the equipment has been delivered and the scheduled start and end date for the work we will be carrying out.
Implementation & Integration
All of our solutions involve a client manager, solutions architect and validation from the implementation team prior to proposal. The validation of the solution is critical to our project success, the implementation consultant has had visibility of the requirements of our clients and understands what is to be delivered prior to their arrival for implementation work.
Our implementation services have five distinct phases;
-
Implementation Planning Meeting - Attended by all stake holders for the project
-
Implementation Services - Deployment of the solution against desired goals and objectives
-
Knowledge Transfer and Documentation - Providing Operational 'Know How' and Supporting Configuration Documentation
-
Project Close Out Meeting - Attended by all stake holders of the project
-
Project Sign Off - Successful implementation against measured objectives
Our implementation services provide our clients with an operational architecture, in many cases integration is required, integration into an existing architecture, application migration all play a very important role in the success of our projects. Where our clients require assistance from our integration services, the Turning Point team will carry out all of the necessary planning to mitigate risk for the project delivery.
Continual Support
Upon successful completion of the project, Turning Point provides a range of operational support services to compliment any technology vendors hardware and software maintenance. Our support services provide our clients with fast responses to 'How to' type scenarios and with our deep understanding of our clients infrastructures, combined with our extensive knowledge of the technologies we deploy, we provide that extra level of support when it's often most needed.
A well designed and implemented solution is only part of our success, we extend our implementation support to include periodic healthchecks of the infrastructures after we've completed the project. Changes in the environment through growth in compute, data or changes in business requirements can often lead to issues with the original deployment, continual checks on the system to validate it's still meeting the original objectives,and where the changes in the environment have impacted the state of the solution, proactive measures can be taken to ensure the longevity of our solutions
